New NSS Webstore Provides Mobile Security at Your Fingertips

Now anyone in any corner of the world can log on to www.nsswebstore.com and shop for the latest mobile security software at a minimal subscription fee. Network Security Solutions (NSS) Malaysia is one of the pioneers in the world in introducing the latest mobile security features for mobile data protection.

The NSS Webstore promotes products that are based on the breakthrough Xecure Message Service (XMS) encryption technology, which enables end-to-end security in mobile text messaging. It ensures text messages in transmission and at rest are encrypted hence offering complete privacy with high-level of security for both business and personal use.

The NSS Webstore will initially be featuring:

PrivateXMS – To avoid unauthorised access to your private SMSes

PrivateXMS is a SMS encryption software that is targeted at all mobile users using any mobile network in the world. The software is currently made compatible with more than 100 models of JAVA MIDP2.0 handsets, which essentially the most used models today. For those who are interested, they are able to benefit from this software with just a monthly subscription fee of between 1USD and 2USD based on their mobile operator’s location.

Upon payment, users will simply download the software to the desktop that is to be transferred to mobile phones via Bluetooth or infrared thereafter. The full user manual is available online at www.nsswebstore.com.

When both the sender and receiver have PrivateXMS software installed in their respective handsets, both parties will be able to exchange private SMS with ease. The SMS sent and received will remain encrypted and can only be accessed by the intended recipient. It’s a matter of taking control over who does and does not read your private SMS. It’s better if you have some SMS that are only meant for your eyes.

And the soon to be available feature:

CellSniper – Remote phone lock and data deletion for lost/stolen phones

CellSniper is software that protects the privacy of data in lost handsets. So, read on to find out how does this work.

* In most instances, the "new" user will remove the existing SIM Card and replace it with his/her SIM card.

* CellSniper will then automatically lock the handset whenever the handset is switched "ON", only the password set by the owner can unlock the handset for use.

* What happens next? A tracing function in CellSniper detects the number of the "new" SIM that replaces the original SIM in the handset. It then alerts the original owner for suitable action.

* With the "new" number on which the handset is operating now known to the dispossessed owner, all it requires is a SMS that follows the owner’s predefined format from any mobile phone to the detected "new" SIM number, and CellSniper will remotely delete all private or personal data in the lost handset.

* In case the "new" SIM is different from the one that CellSniper was configured for, a SMS alert is sent to two numbers, designated by the owner when installing CellSniper.

PayPal is the main payment gateway where customers can pay via their PayPal account or by accepted Credit Card such as Visa, MasterCard, Amex as well as Discover Card. Once paid, users will download the application to a desktop and transfer the file to mobile phones via Bluetooth or Infrared.

Do check out our NSS Webstore at www.nsswebstore.com regularly as more exciting mobile security features will be added in the future. Log on now for more product information.

About XMS
As a NSS proprietary application, XMS is arguably the first end-to-end secure SMS solution. This technology was entirely developed by NSS MSC SDN BHD in Malaysia. It is essentially an Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) based encryption solution that works on public-private keys generated by Elliptical Curve Cryptography (ECC) whose key strengths can be selected as 128 bits, 192 bits or 256 bits.

XMS involves key pairing between users (peer-to-peer mode) or between customer and server, ensuring a secure pairing between any two persons or a person and a server. The Application on the phone is password protected and set by the user during installation, messages are encrypted and signed in the mobile handset and decrypted only at the point of termination (a recipient's mobile handset or server). Thus data at rest, as well as in transit remains encrypted.

TeleFlip Lets You 'Flip' Ordinary Mobile Phones to Receive E-mails and More

Today at the DEMO 07 conference, TeleFlip, Inc., an emerging leader in the delivery of
innovative consumer communications solutions, unveiled its premier product
offering, TeleFlip, a unique, patent-pending technology that allows all
mobile phones to now receive, without any new software or application
downloads, e-mails, calendar alerts and online content feeds such as news,
weather, sports and more. By visiting TeleFlip's Web site
(http://www.teleflip.com) and inputting their mobile phone number and e-mail
address, consumers will be able to use this free service to receive their
e-mails from any e-mail account or service, personal or business,
regardless of their wireless carrier or mobile handset.

"TeleFlip is revolutionizing mobile communications by bridging the
Internet and mobile messaging networks," said Tony Davis, Chief Executive
Officer, TeleFlip. "Now anyone, from soccer moms to CEOs, can stay
connected to friends, family and colleagues regardless of their mobile
handset or level of technical ability."

Recent estimates from CTIA show there are more than 230 million mobile
phones in the U.S. compared to less than ten million BlackBerry and
Treo-type devices in the U.S. On a worldwide basis, the disparity between
ordinary cell phones to email-enabled "smart phones" is even more dramatic.
There are more than 2.3 billion mobile phones, and the vast majority are
not capable of easily receiving e-mails, message alerts or other data.
"TeleFlip will change the way consumers communicate," said Chris
Shipley, executive producer, DEMO. "Consumers will now gain control over
their communications without using any special or expensive hardware to
stay connected, because they will have the power of the Internet -- on any
mobile device, for free. Because of this, I expect TeleFlip will soon be an
everyday communications tool, with billions of e-mails and Internet content
'flipped' to mobile handsets annually."

TeleFlip is easy to use. Consumers enter their mobile phone number,
e-mail address and e-mail password on the TeleFlip Web site -- just once --
at http://www.teleflip.com, and then their e-mail messages will immediately flow
from their e-mail box to their mobile device. No Internet connection is
needed. TeleFlip users can even "reply" to e-mail messages directly from
their mobile phones. The unique, user-friendly TeleFlip technology
eliminates the complexities associated with receiving e-mails through a
carrier's network.

Benefits of "flipping your phone" include:

* Free -- Users can "TeleFlip" up to 5,000 messages monthly

* No new or expensive hardware or specialized service needed -- TeleFlip
is compatible with all existing mobile handsets and every wireless
network provider

* Compatible with every e-mail program or service -- E-mail messages from
any e-mail program (Microsoft Outlook, AOL, AppleMail, Microsoft
Exchange, etc.) and any Web-based e-mail service (Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail,
MSN, Gmail, etc.) can be "flipped" to a user's existing mobile device

* No software download required -- "Flipping" is easy and requires no
special software or application downloads installed on users' PCs or
mobile devices
TeleFlip will launch throughout the U.S., Canada and Western Europe in
March 2007. Rollout plans for TeleFlip throughout the rest of the world
will be announced later this year.
About TeleFlip, Inc.
TeleFlip, Inc., established in 2004, is committed to bridging the

Survey Reveals Pushy Sales Staff Drive Women to the Net

The poll of 2000 female shoppers by mobile phone retailer Dial-a-Phone reveals that women opt to buy online to avoid patronizing male shop workers who bully them into purchasing products they didn't really want.

London, UK (PRWEB) January 29, 2007 -- A new survey published today suggests that women are ditching the high street in favour of online retailing when purchasing technology.

The poll of 2000 female shoppers by mobile phone retailer Dial-a-Phone reveals that women opt to buy online to avoid patronizing male shop workers who bully them into purchasing products they didn't really want.

3 in 4 women believed they had been patronized by a male
member of staff when purchasing technology
1 in 4 women had been bullied into purchasing a technology product they didn't want
1 in 3 women believed they had purchased the wrong mobile phone from a high street store
3 out of 5 women vowed they would NEVER purchase a mobile phone from the high street again

The survey was commissioned after Dial-a-Phone noticed a surge in online sales to women in the run up to Christmas.

The second reason women cited for purchasing online is the 'cost saving'. With many sites offering free delivery there are no hidden costs, so saves time in their hectic lives with one in five women naming either time or cost as the main reason they shop online rather than the high street.

Top reasons for abandoning the high street: Top five online purchases:

1. Pushy sales staff 43% Mobile Phones & Technology 69%
2. Bad customer service 29% Music & DVD's 21%
3. Time constraints 15% Clothes 7%
4. Bad weather 8% Fragrances 3%
5. Cost 5% Make up 1%

Mobile phones and technology are the top online purchase for women, with 69% of women saying that they were more likely to look on the web. Other items included music and DVDs (21%), clothes (8%) and cosmetics (2%).

A spokesman at Dial-a-Phone, who conducted the study comments: "61% of Dial-a-Phone online customers are women; this is significant when you consider the overall UK market where 70% of all phones are bought by men. Our sales to women have increased by 100% since August and we are continuing to see an increase in the run up to Christmas.

"Shopping online should be hassle free and as women tend to bear the brunt of buying the majority of the gifts for the family its no wonder they're looking for an alternative to the high street. We offer free delivery on almost all of our phones and with our staff working throughout the holidays, we will ensure even the most last minute buy is delivered in time for Christmas day."

Dial-a-Phone has supplied mobile phones on monthly contract to 2.9 million customers, and since it launched in 2000 over 550,000 customers have connected from the website. Further information can be found at the Dialaphone Blog

Pay As You Go: New Mobile Phone Tariffs in UK

Contract mobile phone deals and pay as you go mobile phones are two different extremes of a spectrum. These are the two buzzwords that drive the mobile phone market in UK. These tiny devices (generally speaking) are spreading in the growing Asian and Latin American markets like brushfire but things in mature markets like the UK things are entirely different.

Mobile phones caught the imagination of people since the time they came in use in mid 1980’s. Since then a lot of water has flowed under the London Bridge and needless to say the technology and designs have evolved a lot. Earlier it was a privilege of the elite now it is more like the need of the masses. But still there are a host of reasons on which the sales of mobile phone depends and the biggest selling point of a mobile phone is the tariff that goes along with it!

In UK, and for that matter the rest of the western world, the sales of mobile handsets are slowing down. Now to compete in such a cut throat environment the only resort for retailers is to play around with the tariff plans and make them as consumer friendly (read cheap) as possible! Also the mobile phone networks are party in this scheme of things and their decisions are bound to affect the markets. When the big boys of this league take a giant step then it is all but obvious that it won’t go unnoticed.

So the news of 3 UK chopping down the international roaming price in a big manner comes as a pleasant but somewhat ‘expected’ surprise for the users. Currently consumers pay somewhere between £2 and £4 per minute while making a call from an international destination. 3 has announced that anyone on international roaming connected through their ‘3 Like Home’ tariff will have to pay only 20 pence per minute to phone the UK! And hold your breath when you read this, as 3 will not charge you a single penny when you receive a call off shore!

It applies to users visiting Austria, Australia, Denmark, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy and Sweden but the rider being they have to be connected to one of 3's sister networks. But this won’t be such a big issue considering 3’s pan-Europe reach and appeal. This is a giant step and considering the fact that this comes right after European Union’s appeal to reduce high roaming charges a splendid PR move cum business strategy for the network.

It is a fact universally acknowledged that the operators generate a lot more revenue from contract phone deals as compared to pay as you go deals, so this is another way for them to lure the user towards contract deals. But at the end of the day, we as customers are not complaining because one thing that everyone can be sure of is that all the competitors are going to follow suit. And in this perennial aping of each other by the operators lies the profit of the user!

The Multi-purpose Mobile Phone

The mobile phone is moving quickly from being just a device you use to make phone calls. It is steadily moving into the world of personal digital assistants (PDA's) and entertainment devices. It is very easy today to get a mobile phone which serves as a phone, diary, MP3 player, video player, word processor, and games console. In short its one device but with many functions which you do not need to buy separately.

This is good news for the mobile phone manufacturers who are now classifying phones as multimedia computers. They are anticipating stealing business from companies who up to now have built single purpose gadgets such as MP3 music players. Interestingly, Apple, who sell the market leading music player, the iPod, have just announced they will manufacture a mobile phone.

It's also good news for the mobile operators who sell the phones, because they can sell a more expensive device with higher profit margins. They can also sell additional services such as music downloads over their mobile network.

The phone which I use is a Nokia E61 which does all of the above things. It has a keyboard which allows me to type notes or indeed articles such as this one. I can download my MP3 files and play them using it's music player, and also download and play video files. There are vast amounts of games which it can play, and I can hook it up to my office diary and email system. It weighs 144 grams and is about 12 cm by 7 cm with a depth of 1.5 cm. So it fits easily in a pocket.

With earlier phones which attempted these functions lack of memory storage space on the device was a severe limiting factor. However my phone can use a plugin memory card which can provide up to 4GB of storage space. In theory this would allow me to play many hours of movies on my phone!

There are many other models of phones offering all or many of the above functions. Some use the standard phone keypad layout so are not so good at typing large amounts of text. Others use a stylus based input mechanism for inputting text by writing on the screen.

So expect to see people doing more and more with their mobile phone. In fact attempts are now being made to use phones as a type of smartcard for paying for things in place of cash or credit cards. So it may not be long before the mobile phone replaces your wallet!

Mobile Phone Accessories: Spice Up the Mobile Experience

As we make advancement in the field of communication, every thing related to it have improved in leaps and bound. The mobile phone that started its journey in a brick sized case with just the basic feature of making and receiving call have now evolved into high configuration multimedia computers. Keeping up with the upward climb of mobile phones, the mobile phone accessories too have rapidly updated.

Mobile Phone Accessories being the easiest and cheapest way to upgrade your mobile, is hugely popular across all sections of mobile users. Most popular mobile phone accessories includes external memory cards and Bluetooth headsets. Popularity of the former is due to the fact that it allows a mobile phone user to carry all his files like media files and other office application on a memory card which are getting cheaper by the day. A comparatively cheap music phone fitted with a decent memory card is a quite tempting option against a costlier mp3 player.

A wireless Bluetooth headset comes in very hand to make and receive phone calls as well as listen to music when you're driving. High capacity batteries that considerably increases the stand up time a mobile too are very popular among all users. Apart from that, charger adapter of different handsets are very necessary when the standard kit doesn't include a charger that fits to a particular socket. The idea of charging your phone in the car with a Car kit adapter is gaining popularity.

Like the ever changing face of technology, the mobile phone accessories too are highly dynamic. Once popular external cameras for phone are now obsolete due to high definition integrated cameras but at the same time, futuristic Bluetooth GPS receiver, flexible keyboards and high definition multi-purpose speaker systems have came to the fore and now are hugely popular.

Mobile phone accessories, just like the mobile phone itself have covered a great distances in very less time and have been instrumental in determining the direction of the progress of the mobile phone.

Sim Free Mobile Phones: You Call The Shots

SIM Free phones are GSM handsets sold without the line or SIM card. These phones are not affiliated to any particular network but acts as one when you put in a SIM card of any network. The Subscriber Identity Module or SIM cards are detachable smart card that carries all subscription information of a mobile phone connection.

SIM free mobile phones can be used to log in to any compatible network. They are generally brand-new, have never been locked and do not have any network markings and will take any GSM SIM card . Though a Contract phone with preset module seems like a hassle free option, the SIM free mobile phones have many advantages working for them.

Record Cell Phone Conversations press release

A new service which enables cell phone users the ability to keep digital audio records of cell phone conversations without the need for extra equipment is now available through Record Cell Phones.com (http://www.recordcellphones.com), the site announced today.

"The ability to record cell phone conversations has always meant plugging in a bulky extra piece of equipment to your phone," said a spokesperson for the website. "The service available through our site not only allows cell phone conversations to be recorded without extra hardware, it even lets the user access and play back the conversations from any computer with an internet connection."

About Record Cell Phones.com

Record Cell Phones.com launched in 2006, offering cell phone recording technology resources for individuals and businesses looking to keep digital records of sales calls, verbal agreements, or important conversations. The products offered through the website allow users to effectively record cell phone conversations for later playback or distribution via digital files accessible either through the phone or the Internet.

Purchased as a service much like a pre-paid phone card, the user's cell phone conversations are re-routed through a telecommunications switch and digitally recorded. The call can then be played back either by dialing in to an account, much like a voicemail system, or accessed via the Internet from a computer.

"This type of service would be a great asset for professionals constantly on the go," the spokesperson continued. "Lawyers, doctors, real estate agents, or anyone who relies heavily on cell phones to conduct business while out in the field and isn't in a position to write down details while driving, for example."

To learn more about recording cell phone conversations, please visit Record Cell Phones.com on the web at www.recordcellphones.com.

Nokia N91- Technically Yours!

What is your take on mobile handsets? Would you prefer a simple and straight handset which is intended and limited as a device which lets you talk and facilitates text messaging or it’s the other way round for you?

Nokia n91 completely belongs to consumers falling in the later category. With this, Nokia has not constrained the access of a mobile handset to communication; rather they have strived to lead the race of high-end handsets, particularly with its multimedia features.

First things first, nokia n91 is the handset offering maximum memory space and the figure goes up to 4GB. Though there is no card slot to upgrade memory, one may hardly find the need for the same. For those who would look up to their handsets for entertainment and for that seek proximity with their favourite music tracks, this is absolute bliss. MP3/AAC player and Stereo FM Radio amplify this pleasure with quality sound and execution. 3.5 mm audio output jack allows you to plug-in your headphones and this makes a utopia of experience with Nokia N91.

Nokia N91 is a 3G handset which implies high speed data transfer/connectivity tools and video telephony. GPRS, EDGE, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, WAP 2.0/xHTML browser and 3G tools make it a supreme choice in the light of various connectivity modes. It also allows shedding some load off your handset by transferring data to your PC or another handset.

Nokia n91 is a series 60 device with Symbian operating system which allows easy installation of third party games and applications. The 2 megapixels camera complements your photographic interests with its high resolution images and one would not be surprised if you were spotted looking for those moments to make another entry in your treasured gallery of images.

Motorola L7: Classic Design And Multitude Of Excellent Features

After the RAZR and the PEBL, Motorola launched another candy-bar designed handset in the market. The phone has a metallic touch with metallic keypad and toughened glass – with attractive design and yet its metallic appearance catches users attention. As far as phone design is concerned, there has not been done any significant changes in the design as the phone looks very similar to RAZR, but the Motorola L7 has more features.

With a high quality matrix display (262k colours resolution) – it provides a good platform to view images, video clips and other menus. Though its a camera phone but the the resolution is very less. Its a VGA camera and users cannot expect much clarity as compared to other high resolution camera phones. For video recording, VGA camera is quite good, users can also share pictures, video clips and music tracks via MMS and Bluetooth wireless connectivity.

The handset comes with a built-in MP3 player that supports both MP3 and AAC music formats. The SLVR comes with embedded ringtones of good quality; other features include handsfree speaker, email and quad-band. With 11 MB of internal memory, the phone also comes with TransFlash Memory card which further expands phone memory up to 512 MB. Users can download music tracks, video clips and images for more fun.

Resellular Offering 'Get out of Cell Contract' Service for Free in January

In celebration of their one-year anniversary, Resellular.com is offering their service completely free to all users. Resellular is the online community which enables it's users a unique way to 'Shop & Drop' cellular phone contacts. The nationwide community takes advantage of an unadvertised service which all major wireless providers offer, called a "transfer of responsibility" - which essentially enables contract holders to offer their remaining contract to a willing taker.

Austin, TX (PRWEB) January 22, 2007 -- In celebration of their one-year anniversary, Resellular.com is offering their service completely free to all users.

The community, spanning across the U.S., consists of two types of users - those looking to get out of their cell phone contract, and those looking for a contract with less commitment. "Most wireless providers now require at least a one or two-year commitment, so the idea of finding the same plan, with the same provider, for as little as 2-months is a breath of fresh air", says co-founder Joseph Armstrong. Even more appealing, is that those looking for a contract are not even required to register with Resellular. "The most important part of this community is getting the dialogue started between the current contract-holder and potential contract-taker. So avoiding any possible distractions for an interested taker, such as registration, seemed like a no-brainer", says Armstrong.

On the flip side, folks looking to get out of their cell phone contract only require a valid email address to register. Doing so, allows them to post a small advertisement of their contract to the nationwide audience. Prior to this community, a contract-holder was limited to only asking their friends and family. Resellular has essentially expanded their 'friends and family' to a nationwide user base which is dedicated to smaller contracts and avoiding early termination fees.

Usually posting your contract on Resellular costs a one-time fee of $14.99, but the community is offering their service completely free during the month of January. "We have seen continued and rapid success this past year" says Armstrong. "Our community has grown, and really embraced the idea of taking their contracts out of big-business, and into their own hands. It only made sense that they should reap the rewards of such a successful year."

New SIM Card Editor Dekart SIM Manager 2.0 to Edit and Backup Contents of GSM, 3G and Nextel Cards

Now new Dekart SIM Manager allows creating and editing phonebook entries of GSM SIM, 3G USIM, CDMA R-UIM and Nextel SIM cards, and performing timely backups in case of mobile phone loss or upgrade.

Chisinau, Republic of Moldova (PRWeb) January 20, 2007 -- Dekart (www.dekart.com), a developer of information security and smart card management solutions, launches version 2.0 of its popular Dekart SIM Manager. This mobile phone card editor allows creating and editing phonebook entries of GSM SIM, 3G USIM, CDMA R-UIM and Nextel SIM cards, and performing timely backups in case of mobile phone loss or upgrade. Dekart SIM Manager significantly saves costs on managing contact data within small and large companies.

SIM Manager is an advanced SIM card management tool. It eliminates the need to use a phone's cumbersome keypad and small display for managing contacts and other data. The new version of SIM card manager is fully compatible with Nextel, 3G SIM and CDMA R-UIM cards, while preserving the compatibility with older GSM cards. This makes it possible to synchronize the contents of different SIM cards when you switch from one mobile network to another. Synchronization is further extended by SIM Manager's ability to export the contacts of a SIM to a CSV file, which can be loaded by a mail-client, or a PIM-application. Now you can synchronize your Outlook address-book with the phonebook of your SIM, merge the contacts of your phone and PDA, etc.

SIM Manager uses any PC/SC-compliant smart card reader to manage the data on the SIM card. The program does not require a phone; therefore it is a fact that the solution still works after the phone is upgraded, or when a switch to a different mobile operator is made. There is no need to purchase a special data-cable for your phone either.

Pricing: A personal or business license costs USD $29.00 (Volume discounts apply). English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish and Ukrainian language interfaces available. Download the trial version - a full featured version during the 30-day trial period from http://www.dekart.com/free_download/

Cellular Phone and PDA Keypads Are Obsolete Due To New Cursor Control Device

Origo Corporation of Summit, NJ is announcing the development of a Dual-Axis-Cursor Control "DACC" device for mobile handheld Cell Phones and PDAs. Dual Roller miniature mouse is more accurate than all other applications currently on the market, including finger or stylus noperable touch screens and optical IR sensors. Future super sharp high resolution mobile displays need a supersharp cursor control. This new control can be operated with one hand with the same accuracy as a conventional mouse. What you can see, you can pick.

Summit, NJ (PRWEB) January 18, 2007 -- Origo Corporation of Summit, NJ is announcing the development of a Dual-Axis-Cursor Control "DACC" device for mobile handheld Cell Phones and PDAs.

DACC consists of two perpendicular miniature rollers. The first roller moves the cursor along the x-axis and a second roller moves the cursor along the Y-axis . With each finger movement these mini rollers result in more revolutions than conventional larger rollers or dials; thus resulting in more encoder control signals per movement, enabling faster as well as more accurate cursor positioning. Cursor movements are immediate and sharp without any yawing.

These mini rollers are only 3mm thick and 10mm in length, allowing the rollers to be positioned so that they can be rotated simultaneously. Not only can the cursor be moved independently to a desired direction location along the X-axis or Y-axis, but it can also be moved freely on a diagonal path.

The rollers are connected to a selection switch, enabling immediate selection of an icon on the screen of a cell phone by thumb pressure applied to the rollers. Using MEMS technology, this universal, installation ready cursor control device can be made to fit on a nickel size compact package under 20 mm in diameter. The user is able to move objects on the screen, drag and drop, and make selections without ever having to lift their thumb from the cursor control device. A related software invention improves the navigation capacity as well, reducing finger movement by as much as 50% and speeding up the navigation process.

This new device was originally designed to make cell phone keyboards obsolete and enable full size graphical display. However, the recent deployment of 3G networks and several new applications, including internet, video, podcast, ebook and GPS Navigation, have created strong demand for devices with wide screens. Contemporaneously, the price of LCD displays has dropped significantly making such devices affordable. Additionally, portable game devices with large screens have become increasingly popular. This is thus an ideal time to introduce the new control.

The cursor control device is not limited to cell phones and PDAs, but can be used in any application requiring a mouse to move a cursor on a graphical display: for example, laptops and notepad computers, home entertainment graphical display TV remote controls and personal portable game consoles. The device can also be used in certain military and law enforcement applications.

The device,is protected by US Patent 6,731,267. Mr. Veijo Tuoriniemi, the developer of the device, is also known to be the first person to conceive of an integrated cell phone and music player, - the subject of a 1996 US patent application, now US Patent 5,978,689. Origo Corporation, a privately owned New Jersey Corporation, is developing DACC in co-operation with Mr. Tuoriniemi and is excited by his vision.

Origo Corporation is currently partnering with investors and manufacturers looking to bring DACC to market by Christmas 2007 - or early 2008.

If you see a picture profile of someone you like, you "crush" them. If you aren't impressed, you "flush" them. Most importantly, Crush or Flush(TM) basic services are free, helping many visitors hook up their friends or just have fun viewing picture profiles.

Crush or Flush(TM) allows users to sign up using any cell phone or computer. You create a profile, upload a face picture, and choose or create some tags that describe you (e.g. UCLA, yoga, chocolate, travel). Once registered, users can browse picture profiles based on age range, city, and interests, all for free. Every word, link, and graphic has been engineered to be simple and intuitive on even the smallest cell phone. For example, all Crush or Flush(TM) profiles are optimized for mobile viewing with face pictures and browseable tags. Unlike other "search-oriented" mobile dating applications, our community authored tag library makes it fun and easy to browse profiles by interests.

Safety and privacy are top priorities for IceBreaker, Inc. -- users' cell phone numbers, names, and addresses are private, and people can only see the profile you create. When you and someone else have a mutual crush, you chat anonymously. "Unlike traditional dating sites where members can hide behind multiple profiles, on Crush or Flush(TM) you can only have one profile that is tied to your cell phone number," says Eric Hennings, CTO and co-founder, IceBreaker Inc. "If someone causes a problem we will block his or her number and that person will disappear from Crush or Flush(TM)." The only time a user is notified is when a mutual crush has been made, at which time the users can be connected to chat anonymously within the application and without having to swap phone numbers. This eliminates the problem of users being solicited by people they are not into. Finally, if a profile has been flushed, there is no notification, so the rejection factor is taken away, ensuring a good experience for everyone.

Crush or Flush(TM) is entertaining and addictive. It can be used to flirt, chat, and meet new people or to play "matchmaker" for those who want to hook up their friends. The mobile software features "Tell a Friend" technology which allows users to send profiles via text message directly to a friend's cell phone, with no download necessary. Users can pass along those irresistible profiles with one click -- because sometimes no words are needed.

"Crush or Flush(TM) is the ideal way for busy people to make connections rather than being tied to their computer and playing the email tag game," says Michael Robinson, CEO and co-founder, IceBreaker Inc. "Half the fun is the search and the initial romance of finding someone with whom you click. Crush or Flush(TM) brings back the spontaneity and romance of flirting."

PLIBA.mobi - World's First Booking System for Mobile Internet Users and Ist Irish-Based "Dotmobi" Launched

First mobile internet solution allows anything to be made availble for booking via a GPRS or 3G phone on any wireless network.

DUBLIN, Ireland (PRWEB) January 15, 2007 -- Privately-funded Irish company PLIBA today announced the launch of the world's first generic booking system for mobile internet users. PLIBA.mobi is designed to allow anyone with a GPRS or 3G phone to book anything simply and quickly on any mobile phone and on any wireless network worldwide.

PLIBA.mobi, also the first Irish-based 'dotMob'i site, launched officially after showing positive feedback during a 3 month trials in US, Europe, and Asia, leading to strategic discussions with a major Internet search provider and a major print and online directory group.

PLIBA stands for 'Please Let It Be Available', referring to anything that people are looking to book or reserve, and has been in development for the past year in Dublin and Galway, Ireland.

Frank Cavanagh, Head of Communications for PLIBA said, "It's an attention-grabbing idea - companies in 12 countries agreed to trial PLIBA.mobi to see if making their services available for mobile web booking would increase business, and in each case enabling customers to book from a cellphone without having to make a call was effective. In just a few minutes they could register as a Service and simply tell some of their customers to start using PLIBA.mobi to book them instead of calling them or having to go to a PC to get online. "

It is expected that companies taking part in the trial will move fully to PLIBA.mobi as more of their existing customers become familiar with the mobile web. They receive bookings via email or SMS text, and 'Accept' or 'Decline' as they wish. Cavanagh continued, "This is a natural idea that came about not just because the technology arrived but because an educated user has evolved, and it's arriving at a time when local Search and social networking trends in the mobile arena are taking off. The biggest bookers so far appear to be teenagers booking haircuts and taxis, but we expect both the user base and the kinds of services booked to grow vastly and quickly since PLIBA is currently free to everyone. We're aware of the first-mover advantage and are exploiting it fully."

The long-term strategy involves building in a small per booking fee on the service owner, probably a fixed fee well below that taken for bookings currently made via sites such as travel portals.

The mobile internet is still niche but predicted by analysts to be 4 times bigger than the current PC web. With 2 billion cellphones already in use, being at the forefront is an interesting place for the team behind PLIBA to be. It has helped that PLIBA.mobi is being showcased by the MTLD - the global registry for the .mobi top level domain - and that there is positive buzz around PLIBA for making PLIBA specifically for the mobile web. Most of the companies who have created mobile websites have put out cut-down versions of their PC sites instead of starting out with a mobile-centric approach. The PLIBA founders hope that this mobile-first approach will set them apart, and expect the next 18 months to be very interesting.

About PLIBA.mobi
Headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, PLIBA specialize in generic applications for the mobile internet. The company's flagship product, PLIBA Open Booking Engine, powers the 1st Irish-based 'dotMobi' site. If your phone isn't yet capable of browsing the internet, please see emulator on the PLIBA Corporate Site (http://www.pliba.com).

Cheap contract mobile phone way of living with phone

Contract mobile phones are undoubtedly the flavor of the season. The most popular form of mobile ownership, contract mobile phones own the mobile phone shopping segment.

The best part of a contract mobile phone is the concept of mobile phone deals. Mobile phone deals play their part in making mobile phone shopping the most looked forward to activity in the UK. A cheap mobile phone is not a dream thanks to these deals and as a result you can easily pick a cheap contract mobile phone. Before i move on to the concept of mobile phone deals, let me take a couple of lines to compare Contract phones and pay as you go phones.

The decision is easy. The only time you should opt for a Pay as you go phone is when you seriously " Don't call" or you want to gift it to your lavish daughter. Under all other circumstances choose a contract mobile phone for reasons i explain now.

Mobile phone deals are the clinching element in a contract mobile phone. A Mobile phone deal is made up of four elements. You get the mobile of your choice free(1). You can choose your network(2). You get to select your package { Calls to Texts; Line Rentals}(3) and finally you also receive your free gift(4). Normally contracts run for 12,18 or 24 months.

The two striking factors above are the Free Mobile and the Free Gift. And these two make a cheap contract mobile phone possible. Can you imagine getting the latest handset in the market absolutely free( If you do not believe me just walk out of the door and catch anyone on the street and he/she would let you know) AND a free gift on top of it. The free gift could vary, depending on what you like and what is available. Examples of gifts would be XBOX, DVD, Holidays, Free Line Rental etc...You need to pick what you like basically..

As you can see the benefits are plenty. Infact the only thing left is you. So choose a mobile phone deal.

Motorola V3xx: a Heady Cocktail of Fashion and Features

It is really hard to categorize the Motorola 3xx. The handset is technically far ahead of other fashion solutions and at the same time is far too fashionable than any 3G phones. The V3xx sports a more compact and streamlined Motorola RAZR V3 design combined with broadband like speed and dynamic multimedia capabilities. The award winning cutting edge RAZR design is further enhanced with premium metal finishes, a precision cut keypad and a svelte form in the Motorola V3xx .

The handset's external display of 65k colours doesn't compare much to the primary internal 252k colours TFT display, but produces decent images that could be easily read in bright outdoors. The 2.2 inch internal screen produces accurate images so is great to view web-pages and perfectly doubles up as full-screen viewfinder for the integrated 1.3 megapixel camera with digital zoom. Moreover, video capture and playback in popular MPEG4 format is also supported.

The Motorola V3xx supports HSDPA high-speed data transfer at 3.6 Mbps (category 6), so you can well imagine the fast pace of Internet connectivity and content download. Powered with Class 10 EDGE/GPRS apart from HSDPA, the Motorola V3xx also supports live two-way video calls with the extra VGA-camera. Quad band GSM network support and automatic switching between bands keeps the V3xx fully functional in all the five continents. The class 2 Bluetooth wireless technology supports not only Bluetooth stereo Music Profile, but also Bluetooth Music Control Profile. Transfer and synchronize information with your PC via faster miniUSB apart from Bluetooth.

The Motorola V3xx has a built in MP3/AAC/AAC+ player so that you can listen to your favourite songs in high definition sound. Other than 40 Mb user memory, the handset supports hot swap of memory card up to 2GB, so there will always be room for some more.

If you're looking for a stylish phone but do not want to compromise on any feature, Motorola V3xx should definitely be a top of the mind option.

Pushing the Potential of Mobiles - Why emoze is the Cherry on Top

LONDON and RAANANA, Israel, January 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- emoze, a subsidiary of the Emblaze Group (LSE: BLZ - News), provides free software to personal and business users that allows them to make the most of their mobile phone or device. With emoze, mobile users can securely send and receive push emails and other data with a simple download. There's no need for your mobile to be a dinosaur!

Q: What is emoze?

A: emoze is a global email service for mobile devices (Smartphones, wireless PDAs and standard feature phones) that provides individuals, small businesses and independent professionals with the opportunity to take up an enterprise-level email service without paying high prices. It works just like a BlackBerry(TM) "pushing" e-mails to your Smartphone, PDA or standard feature phone, but can be established without the high set-up costs, hardware charge and hassle of other enterprise email services. Each and every user simply downloads emoze from www.emoze.com, sets up their own account and begins to receive push emails and personal information management (PIM) data - calendar, contacts, tasks and notes - directly to their device.

Q: Isn't this just an email redirector?

A: No, emoze is push email software. It uses native application programming interface (such as MAPI or IBM Lotus C++ API) to connect to Microsoft Exchange and IBM Domino servers. MAPI (Messaging Application Programming Interface) is implemented by a set of components that expose APIs that applications like Outlook and IBM Lotus use to connect to remote mail servers.

Q: Why do we need it?

A: emoze is for mobile device users that want to receive and send emails and PIM data to and from their devices on the move, and do not have a Blackberry(TM) or similar.

Q: How is it different from similar services?

A: emoze is free, it works on all leading brands of mobile device and is completely secure according to industry standards.

Q: With emoze, how secure are my emails and data?

A: emoze boasts an extremely secure service. All messages are encrypted behind the firewall (either home or corporate network), and can be decrypted only when they reach the right mobile device or PC. Encryption keys are stored in the user's mobile device and PC. No data and no encryption key, at any point, are accessible within the server or over any wireless network.

Q: Are emoze users a threat from adware or spyware?

A: Definitely not! emoze does not contain any kind of spyware or adware.

Q: Isn't this market pretty much sewn up by RIM and Microsoft?

A: RIM has done a magnificent job of launching this market and Microsoft will offer a strong competitive alternative. However, both those giants - as well as the other, smaller players such as Seven, Visto, Intellisync (Nokia) and Motorola Good - are targeting corporate users and using mobile operators to sell-in their products. That market has recruited only about 10 million mobile email users.

However, there are currently over 100 million devices that are capable of receiving push email, and 2007 will bring an additional 100 million devices to the market (Source: Strategy Analytics). The market is nowhere near saturation. emoze is targeting users who are not in the RIM or Microsoft market share - that includes individuals, small businesses and independent professionals; just about anyone with a capable device and email account.

About emoze

emoze turns mobile phones and mobile devices in to fully functional personal communication devices with a single, simple and free download for the individual user. It delivers real-time, secure synchronization of emails, calendars, contacts and tasks - pushing data and updates to you anytime, anywhere using any mobile service provider network or WiFi and all leading brands of mobile device. Download, registration and use of emoze are all free for the individual user. Users need a data package from their mobile service provider. emoze supports all popular email data sources (e.g. Lotus Notes and Domino Servers, Microsoft Outlook and Exchange, PoP3 and Web-Access) and mobile device operating systems, and provides a simple user interface and high level security for emails and data.

As a spin-off of Emblaze in 2006, emoze has users in almost every country worldwide. emoze is a subsidiary of the Emblaze Group (LSE: BLZ - News). For more information, please visit www.emoze.com. Stay connected with emoze - wherever you are!

New version of mobile Webcasting software greatly expands number of compatible phones primed for user-generated 'one-button' live broadcasts.

Las Vegas, NV (PRWeb) January 8, 2007 -- ComVu Media, Inc., a pioneer in mobile Webcasting software and automated video streaming delivery, today introduced a new version of its award-winning PocketCaster software for Nokia devices based on S60, the world's leading smartphone platform.

With the public release and availability of PocketCaster software for the S60 platform, ComVu also announces it has joined the Forum Nokia PRO developer program. Only a select number of companies worldwide who have demonstrated industry leadership are chosen as members. By becoming a member, ComVu is better positioned to ensure the close integration of its software with Nokia's devices and benefit from Nokia's extensive worldwide software distribution channels.

"ComVu's mission to democratize broadcasting has taken a major leap forward with this release," says William Mutual, ComVu CEO. "Nokia's acknowledged leadership and innovation in multimedia smartphones provides an ideal platform to further ComVu's vision. We look forward to facilitating the creation of user-generated video by an ever growing number of mobile subscribers worldwide."

The new version of PocketCaster also includes support for 3GP and Real Video playback, which will significantly expand the number of viewers for PocketCaster powered broadcasts. PocketCaster's breakthrough architecture allows ComVu to truly deliver on the vision of wireless/fixed convergence, resulting in 'one-button,' live Webcasting from tens of millions of phones, to hundreds of millions of mobile and PC viewers.

With the worldwide reach of Nokia's S60 devices, an explosion of user-generated mobile video broadcasting--citizen journalism, a personal travelogue, family events, enterprise field reporting--is now enabled with the push of a button.

How it Works

Once PocketCaster is installed, users simply press the "start" button and the phone will begin taking a video. At the same time, the application will establish a data connection and stream the video live from the phone to a server. From there, the video can be propagated to a webpage where friends can watch what's being shot in real-time, or it can go to a broadcaster for breaking news or entertainment purposes.

Because the video is automatically stored on a server, a copy of the video is instantly available on the Internet when the "stop" button is pressed. Defaults can be defined in advance, so that alerts are sent to friends and videos are automatically posted to designated sites. PocketCaster has completely eliminated the uploading process and overcome the limitations in video lengths due to local phone memory or MMS capacity.

Availability and Compatibility

PocketCaster for S60 is available to members for download at: www.comvu.com. PocketCaster is now compatible with select S60 2nd and 3rd edition smartphones; specific supported models are listed at: http://www.comvu.com/comvu/Support.htm.

SAMSUNG Develops First Truly Double-sided LCD

Seoul, Korea - January 4, 2007: Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., the world's largest provider of thin-film transistor, liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) panels announced today that it has created the first LCD panel that can produce independent images on each side of a mobile LCD display. Samsung's new double-sided LCD can show two entirely different pictures or sets of visual data simultaneously on the front and back of the same screen. Other conventional double-sided LCDs can only show a reverse image of the same video data.

This new development will replace two display panels with one, thereby reducing overall thickness of mobile products by at least 1mm.

Executive Vice President Yun Jin-hyuk, in charge of the Mobile Display Division of the Samsung Electronics LCD Business, says, "Our new double-sided mobile display underscores Samsung's commitment to equip our customers with advanced display technology that accelerates the trend toward slimmer mobile products. We anticipate high demand when we commence mass production in the first half of 2007."

The breakthrough LCD product makes use of Samsung's new double-gate, thin-film transistor (TFT) architecture. TFT gates are electronic components that convert the necessary voltage at the pixel level, which controls the liquid crystal alignment needed to reproduce on-screen images. Samsung's new double-sided LCD has two gates that operate each pixel instead of one, so the screen on the front can display different images than the one on the back. The double-sided display makes use of Samsung's proprietary Amorphous Silicon Gate (ASG) technology, which accommodates the increased number of TFT gates without increasing the size of the driver integrated circuits. Driver-ICs typically increase in size when more TFT gates are used.

The new Samsung mobile display requires only one backlight, while competitive double-screen LCDs require two. One side of the panel operates in a transmissive mode, while the other operates in a reflective mode. By using a unique reflective design that utilizes the light trapped in the opposing screen's transmissive mode, the reflective mode does not solely rely on external light sources such as the sun.

The double-sided, dual image LCD's efficient use of light to display images in both transmissive and reflective modes promotes slimmer, more cost-effective products.

The new double-sided LCD is 2.6mm thick and 2.22" wide, with QVGA (240 x 320 pixel) resolution, and has brightness values of 250 nits for the front and 100 nits for the rear display. It will be exhibited at the Consumer Electronics Show, which opens in Las Vegas on January 8.
